We have released UTM 9.102.
Further to our earlier post ( http://www.astaro.com/en-uk/node/20887 ) about some issues in UTM 9.100, and a soft-release of UTM 9.101 made last week, I'd like to inform you that within the next few hours we will GA release Up2Date 9.101 that stabilizes your UTM 9.100 release and offers several fixes for RED, Wireless, WebAdmin, and more while addressing some performance issues as well. You should apply this Up2Date with priority at your earliest opportunity once it has downloaded and shows up as available for installation in your WebAdmin.
Up2Date 9.006 is now available. In this update we have included a number of fixes and improvements.
We have just launched our new Remote Ethernet Device, the Sophos RED 50.
In response to market demand for Next Generation Firewall capabilities, we have just launched two enhanced high-end Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances, Sophos UTM 525 and 625. Both models are ideal for larger organisations that require greater throughput speeds and more flexible deployment options. The Sophos UTM 525 and 625 are both based on the latest Intel Sandy Bridge server technology (using Intel Multi-Core Xeon CPUs) for optimum performance.
With just two months to go until the sun sets on Astaro Security Gateway V7, this will serve as one of the final reminders. Version 7 of Astaro Security Gateway will be end-of-life on December 31st 2012. If you do not have an ASG V7 installation, you are unaffected by this announcement and can disregard it.
We've recently published UTM 9.003 as a two part Up2Date labelled 9.003-15 and 9.003-16. You can see more about this two-part package by reading on for the full details inside.
Following the GA release of UTM 9, we have our first Up2Date available today. This is a bugfix release designed to enhance the stability and performance of your installation. For ASG V8 appliance users – work is progressing on the next Up2Date for that platform which will enable the one-touch migration for elligible platforms.
As originally announced last year to our partners , Version 7 of Astaro Security Gateway will be end-of-life on December 31st 2012.
With UTM 9 fast approaching it's mid-July release date, we'd like to invite you to test the next major version of our central management tool. Previously called Astaro Command Center, it is now named Sophos UTM Manager (SUM). You can test out SUM 4 with UTM 9, and also see how it operates against your older installations; things should be backwards compatible.
