Like so many other companies around the country, we are trying to do more with less money, equipment, and personal. We have found several ManageEngine products that make this process more manageable for IT while giving our users a smooth computing experience.
First of the ManageEngine line is OpManager. This product allows us to spend more time managing our network and less time finding problems before they interfere with the user experience. We now have near 100% uptime with a dashboard that keeps us up the minute on server uptime, service availability, and resource usage.
After finding OpManager very easy to setup, manage and use, we started looking into other products to solve needs around our organization. The next step was ServiceDesk Plus. With only two people IT department, we can not offer a dedicated Helpdesk person to answer calls. ServiceDesk allowed us to give our users a way to contact us 24/7 while having the ability to look through solutions for common problems. Behind the scenes, it gave us better control over our purchasing and reporting of IT assets.
Next up, we started using Desktop Central to assist in managing workstations with software deployments and patches. OSDeployer is used as a tool to image workstations for deployment. ADSelfService is used to allow users the ability to reset password and unlock accounts.
Over the years we have had very few problems with ManageEngine products and every one was resolved by a professional Technical Support Department.
