Cisco LIVE – 2012, Australia was just wrapped up less than a week ago and here we present here some updates on that. We had the opportunity to interact with a lot of professionals from the networking industry which included customers and prospective customers. Out of those, here is a small sample of what most of our customers feel about us:
Apart from this, we had NetFlow Analyzer’s Medianet(and Mediatrace) monitoring capabilities mentioned by Cisco in their presentations. NetFlow Analyzer is now ‘Cisco Compatible’ in Medianet technology for monitoring media-rich video traffic in the network and has been offficially listed in the Cisco Marketplace. The special inclusion of ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer’s Medianet reporting feature stands testimony to the fact that it is the most ideal tool to effectively monitor network traffic in the future.

WhatsUp PortScanner Offers a Free Look into Network Vulnerabilities

Flexible NetFlow configuration in Cisco 4500 with Supervisor Engine 7-E and Cisco IOS XE

Catalyst 4500 series switches with Supervisor Engine 7-E and Cisco IOS XE Software Release 3.1.0 SG supports Flexible NetFlow. Hence we thought of sharing the configuration information with you.

The configuration of Flexible NetFlow in these switches is similar to the other regular Flexible NetFlow. Same 4 steps:
1)    Creating Exporter
2)    Creating Record
3)    Creating Monitor
4)    Associate the monitor to the interface.

However, supervisor 7-E does not support predefined records like traditional routers (record neflow ipv4 original-input). Hence it is compulsory that we should create a record.
