Aruba vs. Meraki – Interference mitigation

The interference mitigation test was performed using video bridge in both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band. Aruba AP-225 and Cisco Meraki MR34 was used for the test. The test was simply to see if the AP changes channel and how long it takes to change channel in the presence of interference. During the test both APs were configured to automatically change channel as shown in the video.

Aruba 802.11ac AP-225 identified the interference in less than a minute and changed channel in 2 minutes consistently in both bands. Cisco Meraki MR34 failed to change channel even after 45 minutes.
