Mobile Device Manager Plus is here to make your service desk more efficient

On an average day, help desk technicians battle against forgotten passwords, never-ending updates, and misplaced devices. This incessant inflow of mundane tickets can allow business-critical issues to slip under technicians’ radar. What if there was a solution to reduce the effort spent on these routine tickets, and allow help desk technicians to spend more time tackling critical issues?

Mobile Device Manager Plus integrates extensively with ServiceDesk Plus—our very own service desk software—allowing help desk technicians to save time by performing various mobile device management tasks right from ServiceDesk Plus.

This integration with ServiceDesk Plus allows help desk technicians to perform the following actions with just the click of a button:

1. Onboard devices: When an employee joins the organization, they’re assigned a device with restrictions and configurations in place so they can access the required data and applications. Help desk technicians can perform all the necessary onboarding tasks and a lot more right from a help desk ticket.

2. Initiate a remote session: When a reboot doesn’t solve the problem, a technician needs to step in to resolve the issue, no matter where they are. Now help desk technicians can remotely control or view device screens to resolve issues right from their seats.

3. Protect data on lost devices: While organizations can’t prevent mobile devices from being lost or stolen, they can control what happens to the data on these devices. As soon as a user reports a device lost or stolen, technicians can remotely track the most recent location of the device from ServiceDesk Plus. If the device can’t be retrieved, they can wipe the entire device or just its corporate data without leaving their help desk tool.

4. Retire devices: When a user leaves an organization, the corporate data on their device must be removed before the device is handed over to them, or passed along to a different employee. Help desk technicians can remove corporate data from departing employees’ devices and, in the case of corporate devices, also apply new policies and configurations—all right from ServiceDesk Plus.

Integrate ServiceDesk Plus with Mobile Device Manager Plus to leverage all the features mentioned above and also explore a few other capabilities.

Mobile Device Manager Plus also integrates with other third-party help desk solutions like Spiceworks, ServiceNow, and Zendesk to simplify device management. Public APIs are also available if you want to customize Mobile Device Manager Plus’ integrations with other products.
