Up2date 7.512 Released

Following the release of an Up2Date for our Version 8 line, we also have a release for Astaro Security Gateway Version 7 which is designed to address a connectivity issue with SwissCom DSL that was introduced due to changes by that ISP. We'll also take this chance to address some published vulnerabilites for SSL and fix a few bugs. Keep in mind that ASG V7 is due to sunset at the end of this year in December 2012 and will be end-of-life at that time.

Astaro Security Gateway V8.300 Released

I am pleased to announce that we have released ASG 8.300 via our Up2Date distribution network. The main features of this release are Amazon Machine Images of Astaro Security Gateway (along with Astaro Command Center), an integrated connector for the Amazon Private Cloud (VPC), ASG Site-to-Site VPN Tunnels using our RED protocol, support for our Wireless AP50 product, and BGP4 routing support. In addition, we have added numerous tweaks, dozens of stability improvements and increased the performance of many features. This release will solidify your ASG V8 installation and give you the best Astaro experience yet. Astaro Security Gateway Version 8.200 Released

Announced at CeBit earlier this year, Astaro Security Gateway V8.200 is now available. ASG 8.2 adds Application Control (aka. Layer-7 or “Next-Generation” Firewall) and Network Visiblity so that you see everything happening in your network and can make educated, reactive decisions about how your connection is used.

Revision 4 of the Astaro Security Gateway 110-120 Available

A new revision of the ASG 110/120 has left our production facilities. The ASG 110/120 rev.4 features an Intel processor which produces 1.8 Gbps of firewall throughput.

The new revision 4 of the ASG 110/120 is now being shipped! The ASG 110/120 rev.4 is based on a new platform featuring an Intel processor which produces 1.8 Gbps of firewall throughput. There are also four fully configurable gigabit Ethernet ports, a faster 160 GB server grade hard drive and a new chassis designed for quieter and cooler operation. The unit itself is also physically smaller and can be either placed on a desk, wall mounted via holes in the bottom, or mounted in a rack using a new optional rack mount kit which is now also able to house the external power supply.

Astaro Command Center Up2Date 2.202 Released

Up2Date 8.102 Released

We have released Up2Date 8.102 today for all ASG installations. This Up2Date is a stability release designed to enhance the reliability of your Astaro Security Gateway. Tomorrow, we plan to issue new ISO images along with brand new Virtual Appliances for VMware which use the vSphere 4 architecture, followed by updated ISO's for the Astaro Smart Installer. Read on for extended details of this Up2Date.

Astaro Security Gateway Version 8.100 Released

I'm pleased to announced that Astaro Security Gateway Version 8.100 has been GA-released and is being distributed via our Up2Date infrastructure. The main focus of this release is our Wireless Security products; 8.100 brings official support for our much-sought-after Astaro Access Points to the Version 8 platform. Version 8.100 also introduces more flexibility for Astaro RED deployments, improvements to SMTP profiles and WAN link balancing, and many usability improvements based on your feature submissions and feedback.

An Up2Date was released today for Astaro Security Gateway Version 8. This Up2Date is designed to improve the stability of your V8 installation, offers some security patches, and acts as the new target landing version for appliance users who one-touch upgrade to ASG V8 via the 7.508 Up2Date which will be released next week. At that time full details around the appliance upgrade process will be published, and we'll have an update on the progress of the 8.100 Beta & GA as well.

Astaro 8.100 Beta Begins

The main focus of this version is to introduce the Wireless functionality of Astaro Access Points and Wifi controller into the V8 platform, along with other features and improvements. You are invited to test this version in your environement, and participate in our dedicated 8.100 Beta Forums to share your feedback, impressions, and report any bugs.
