Up2Date 8.302 Released

Today we released Up2Date 8.302 of Astaro Security Gateway. This release is soley for the purpose of addressing an issue our Swisscom DSL Customers reported due to changes implemented by this ISP. As a result, a small version bump will occur, in that the larger release we had intended to be 8.302 will now be released as 8.303 later this month which contains many fixes and updates for ASG V8. You can read on for the details of the Up2Date package.

Over the past few weeks, hordes of strange and frightening monsters invaded our website. Fortunately only in a metaphorical sense – however they would have had a day thanks to our Complete Security package which eliminates all threats thoroughly. The monsters we are speaking of are the ones from our creative competition and built with bricks.

Up2Date 8.301 Released

Today we have made available Version 8.301 of Astaro Security Gateway. This is a maintenance release only which addresses various reported issues and will contribute to the stability of your ASG installation. While this Up2Date will be made automatically available for installation, you can read on for more details and manual download links.

This release contains a number of fixes around VPN, Web Security, and wireless.

They have challenged you to put a face to the dangers of the Internet using Lego or Duplo bricks. All you need to do it build your very own malware monster, take a photo and upload it on their site. Visitors can vote in the gallery until the end of February and the most popular entries win a prize including a Nintendo DSi!

ASG Up2Date 8.203 Released

We've released Up2Date 8.203 today. This Up2Date will enhance the stability and performance of your ASG installation. Of note is the reverting of the default SMTP RDNS checks to a more relaxed way, however the more effective “strict” options remains available for admins looking to combat spam with the tightest measures. National Cyber Security Awareness Month Contest Winners

Astaro Security Gateway V8.2 Competition Results

With the release of Astaro Security Gateway V8.2 a few months ago, we celebrated by running a competition where users could win an Apple iPad2. Over five thousand people tried their luck, but there could only be one!

And that “one” is Mr. Alexander Schapeit (pictured right) from Tenovis Direct GmbH who was lucky enough to be selected at random to claim the prize.

We not only wish him much fun with his iPad2, but also would like to thank everyone else for taking part and supporting the new version of Astaro Security Gateway.
