Everyday we receive about 20 reports of “www.xwebsitehere.com” being slow. Today we’ve received a few reports about Google being slow. One reader (thanks Neal) even wrote in to say that after he did some monitoring on his connections, he isolated it down to “pagead2.googlesyndication.com”. Obviously, from the hostname being one of the servers that serves ads to lots of websites.
Neal stated that after he blacklisted this hostname, his browsing went back to normal. Anyone else experiencing similar?
(Yes we have received several reports of Google being slow, I’m asking if you can replicate the “pagead2″ issue.)
Update: We haven’t heard any more about this today, so, I’m not sure of the end result. Personally, if my Google Ads are a little slow in loading… I’m not sure I mind much.
Update 2: We just received an email from a reader in Denmark, using Everydns.net, is having his Google DNS queries redirected to a Yahoo server. No more info than that at this time.

ITS BEING SLOW AGAIN!!!! thanks google, just flushed my Dns resolver cache, cycled my I.P address 2 times, disabled ALL service ports of my server, reset my server, and then finally tried Yahoo’s search engine which loaded fast. Google won’t load anything fast right now.
hahha i thought it was just me today.. bad to know its not. i was using google chat and texting people thru it and then it dropped me of of chat and slowed to an absolute crawl.
Ditto. I came here from a Yahoo search. Google Search, Google Docs, Google Groups, and Google Video are all slow/unresponsive. Been that way for the past hour at least. I’m amazed how much I’ve come to rely on Google!
Ya same here, lol i have google as my homepage, i didn’t go as far as reseting everything but i did restart my router, ugh come back to us google
So it’s not just me! ;(.. what the heck .. I thought I’d die before ever using Yahoo.. mmmmm my foot taste yummy.

i ended up here the same way you guys did. i only use yahoo to check the status of google lol
it was back up and running nice and fast by 10am latest. they got on it fast… wither that or took a long ass time to restart lol
